Tammy Howes

Tammy started working with Mark, as Recycling Coordinator, in November of 2010. She grew up on a little island in Maine, where they had mandatory recycling beginning in 1989. Texas is a little behind, but she is happy to be helping spread the word about the Blue Bag Recycling program for apartment communities!

Ayuh, her dad, was a lobsterman, and she can make a killah seafood chowdah. Texas has worn off on her; however, and she can’t go more than three days without eating an avocado or something sprinkled with cilantro.

She spent four years in the Air Force working in the Civil Engineering Squadron, as a Personnel Specialist, in the bustling metropolis of Grand Forks, ND. Ever felt 80 below? You can trust her, you don’t want to. But people make the place, and she made many wonderful friends there. And when things finally started growing at the end of May, it was beautiful. Endless fields of sunflowers...

She is raising two little Bearcats in the orange and black town of Aledo. She has an Associate’s Degree in Office Management, and she is working toward a Bachelor’s in English. Writing is her passion (she loves doing the newsletter!) and hopefully she will be doing book signings at Barnes & Noble before she is dead. In the meantime, she will help get all of you apartment managers on board with Going Green!!!
